Skoda shows final preview of Kodiaq vRS

Set to debut at the Paris Motor Show, this will be Skoda’s first vRS SUV and will come with exclusive features.

Skoda has released its final preview of the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq vRS, which will be making its debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show.

Based on the seven-seat SUV, Skoda has fitted it with 237bhp turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine – the most powerful diesel unit in the brand’s history – helping enhance the performance of the Czech brand’s first performance SUV.

To boost the sound of the engine, Skoda has included the Dynamic Sound Boost function to help the noise made by the unit sound “meaty and even sportier”, while the full-LED headlights add to the dynamic shape of the front end.

The preview video also shows the Kodiaq vRS in the exclusive Race Blue metallic paint finish, which will be an optional extra on the model.

The virtual cockpit that will be fitted as standard with the car gets a fifth display for drivers to choose from, with the ‘Sport’ display bringing the speed and rev counter dials to the centre of the screen and your attention.

Skoda has been testing the model thoroughly before its full reveal and it has been lapped around the world-famous Nürburgring by racing driver Sabine Schmitz – setting the fastest time around the circuit for a seven-seat SUV.

The Kodiaq vRS will debut on October 4 and will be displayed at the Paris Motor Show until October 14.
